PROBLEM:
The following message is encountered when attempting to update a database on an Avidyne IFD 400/500 or BendixKing AeroNav Series navigator, or an Avidyne Atlas or Helios FMS.
"Data load not authorized for this aircraft"
CAUSE:
The tail number assigned to the subscription as the System ID in Jeppesen Distribution Manager (JDM) doesn't match the tail number in the navigator or FMS.
RESOLUTION:
Verify the tail number assigned to the subscription as the System ID in JDM matches the tail number in the navigator or FMS. Contact Jeppesen Technical Support or Jeppesen Sales Support to change the System ID tail number in JDM if it doesn't match the tail number in the navigator or FMS.
System ID tail number in JDM:

The tail number on the navigator or FMS is displayed on the Main System Config page in Maintenance Mode. In Maintenance Mode, select Config, then rotate the right outer knob until the Main System Config page is displayed. Do not change the tail number displayed on the Main System Config page, as doing so will disable the paid options (e.g. SVS, 16W radio, etc.).

If multiple tail numbers exist in one account with the same Avidyne or BendixKing unit type and coverage, JDM applies all applicable tail numbers to the download and transfer. This way, only one storage device is needed to update each aircraft.
If the tail number associated with the Jeppesen subscription is correct, and the tail number on the main system config page is also correct, then the tail number to which the IFD is registered doesn’t match the tail number associated with the Jeppesen subscription. Contact Avidyne tech support for further assistance in getting the tail numbers to match.”
