MilPlanner
by Jeppesen
MilPlanner comprises a graphical desktop client software application, together with a server element that can be installed on a PC or laptop for a single user, or in a one-to-many networked environment where data sharing is required.

The MilPlanner application interfaces with the flight planning engine, which can be deployed to servers at the customer’s location and placed behind military firewalls on a secure network.

The MilPlanner client software application provides for the planning and display of optimized routes displayed on a graphical chart. It contains additional vector data layers, such as:
  • Organized tracks
  • Graphical Meteorological Terminal Aviation Routine Weather Report or Meteorological Aerodrome Report (METARs)
  • User-defined route segments
  • User-defined waypoints
  • Range rings for Equal Time Point (ETP) airports
  • User-defined avoid areas
  • User-defined must-fly corridors
  • Extended Operations (ETOPS)
The routes can be modified graphically (drag and drop), with ‘rubber-band’ functionality (drag-and-drop points and segments) on the chart, and resubmitted to the JetPlan engine to run a new optimized plan.
