Over the decades, Jeppesen has delivered data and services by many means, including paper, DVD, CD, memory cards and internet download. As technology advances, and our customers’ expectations evolve, we continue to shift more and more of our data delivery to the internet. Plus, today’s avionics systems require significantly larger data sets, which often exceed the limits of physical media.
It is for these reasons Jeppesen will end DVD/CD-based data and chart delivery.
Over the coming months, Jeppesen will formalize plans and begin execution to end DVD/CD-based delivery from multiple software and data products. The approach and timing of the discontinuation of the DVD/CD based delivery will vary by product, aviation market and region of service. For product specific information, please see list below.
Jeppesen Subscription Only: if you are paying a physical media surcharge for DVD/CD based delivery, you will receive a prorated refund for your DVD/CD subscription calculated from the published sunset date for your DVD/CD service. The refund will be issued after the sunset date.
