"JDM requires Full Disk Access enabled. Click here for instructions." when transferring a database in JDM for MacOS
Created Date:

Environment:
Mac OS

PROBLEM:
The following message is encountered when transferring a database in JDM for macOS:

"JDM requires Full Disk Access enabled. Click here for instructions."

CAUSE:
JDM is not allowed Full Disk Access under Security & Privacy in macOS Ventura or later. JDM must be added to the Full Disk Access list so it can read the volume serial number of USB drives and SD cards.

RESOLUTION:
See Full Disk Access Required for JDM in macOS Ventura and later

CAUSE:
JDM is unable to write to the target location.

RESOLUTION:
If using an SD card, check that the write-protect switch is in the correct position (towards the contacts at the top of the card). Try copying a file to the card or USB drive using Finder to see if files can be copied to it outside of JDM.
