The Avidyne EX series units require a CMax Key Code. In order to register your unit and generate this code in the www.MyAvidyne.com portal, the Avidyne MFD serial number is required.
Take the following steps on your Avidyne MFD in order to locate the serial number:

- Power up the Avidyne MFD
- Open the "Aux" page
- The serial number is an eight-digit number displayed on the screen, for example, 00001850 or 20498214.
- If your aircraft has a PFD, MLB700, or MLX770 installed, write down those serial numbers as well. You can usually find the serial numbers in the aircraft maintenance records
