ANSWER:
Due to the steady increase of global aeronautical data, the file size of the United States & Canada database exceeds the capacity of the Garmin GNS 400/500. Beginning Cycle 1710 (Effective September 14, 2017), the United States & Canada database has been reduced in size to the blue region indicated on the map below and renamed Northern United States & Canada.
