ISSUE:
Upon starting Jeppesen Distribution Manager (JDM) Mac OS, the following error appears, or only a blank, white window appears:
There is no application set to open the URL data:text/html;base64,....
After selecting 'Choose Application...', JdmApp is not available as an application to open the URL.
RESOLUTION:
- Open Activity Monitor (under Launchpad > Other) and locate the jdm process to Force Quit it. Refer to the Apple support article Quit an app or process in Activity Monitor on Mac for additional guidance on using Activity Monitor to quit a process.
- Select the jdm process, then select the X button at the top to Force Quit the jdm process.
- Try launching JDM again.
If JDM still doesn't launch properly, shut down the Mac and restart it.
If JDM still doesn't launch properly, uninstall JDM and reinstall it. Refer to How to remove or uninstall Jeppesen Distribution Manager (JDM) and How to install Jeppesen Distribution Manager (JDM).
If JDM still doesn't launch properly, uninstall JDM, create a new administrator user on the Mac, and reinstall JDM under the new administrator user. Refer to the Apple support article New user or group setup on Mac for additional guidance on creating a new administrator user.
