When creating a new device in JDM Pro, an EFB administrator can choose either Mobile or Desktop for the Device Type. The Device Type defaults to Mobile, as this is the most common type of device content is distributed to using JDM Pro.
When selecting Desktop as the Device Type, JDM Pro enables the 'Automatically send email when content is authorized' checkbox and disables, but displays, the Platform field. When content is authorized for a device, JDM Pro checks to see if the device is flagged to receive email notifications upon authorization. When the device is flagged, JDM Pro sends an email to the email address associated with the device, as shown in the following example:
